X-Ray Body/Person/Human Scanner

The Madoors USA Madoorsscan HM-2000 is an advanced micro-dose X-ray body scanner providing comprehensive security inspection of the human body for concealed contraband, weapons, explosives, narcotics, liquids, ceramics, concealed currency, and all metallic and non-metallic threat objects — delivering a complete body scan in less than 12 seconds at a radiation dose of less than 5 μSv per inspection, which is less than 1% of a single chest X-ray measurement and confirmed safe for pregnant women, children, the elderly, and persons with special medical needs. Using backscatter X-ray line scanning technology with proprietary image processing software and an operator-friendly interface, the HM-2000 detects both organic and inorganic threats from a single scan — providing best-in-class X-ray image quality at 0.16mm wire resolution for rapid and comprehensive passenger screening at ports, airports, customs, railway stations, government buildings, and public gathering situations.

Optional configurations include software for automatic narcotics detection, fingerprint scanner, CCTV and barcode reader, passport reader, face camera, intercom system, bulletproof cabin, multi-operator function, and laser printer — providing a complete passenger identity verification and threat detection solution from a single integrated system.

TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS
Dimensions: 2,500mm L × 1,852mm W × 2,450mm H. Weight: approximately 1,000 kg. Tunnel size: 700mm W × 2,000mm H — accommodating the full range of adult body widths and heights within the standard scanning tunnel. Conveyor speed: approximately 0.20 m/s. Maximum load: 120 kg.

Scanning efficiency: less than 12 seconds per inspection — providing the throughput rate required for high-volume passenger screening at the busiest airport and port checkpoints without creating unacceptable queue build-up. The 12-second scan time covers the complete body from head to foot in a single pass at the conveyor speed.

Resolution: φ0.16mm wire — the ability to resolve a wire of 0.16mm diameter confirms the fine detail discrimination required for detection of small threat objects, thin weapons, and concealed items of minimal cross-section that lower-resolution systems would miss.

Radiation dose: less than 5 μSv per inspection — less than 1% of a single chest X-ray measurement, confirming compliance with all applicable health and safety regulations for radiation equipment and all published international standards. A person would have to receive more than 1,000 screenings to approach the annual exposure limits — confirming the safety margin available for frequent travelers and security personnel who are repeatedly screened. The European Union's Scientific Committee on Emerging and Newly Identified Health Risks — SCENIHR — confirms that backscatter X-ray technology in body scanners is safe for use at security checkpoints.

The system uses X-ray line scanning mode — building the complete body image line by line as the person moves through the tunnel on the conveyor. Backscatter technology bounces very low-dose X-rays off the person's body and detects the backscattered signal to generate the image — the same single-side access principle that makes backscatter technology effective for body scanning where transmission imaging would require X-ray sources on both sides of the person.

Power consumption: approximately 0.9 kVA. Mobile operation capability — the system can be installed on a vehicle for mobile security deployment at temporary and remote inspection locations.

KEY FEATURES
Less Than 5 μSv — Safe for Pregnant Women, Children & Elderly
The micro-dose radiation level — less than 5 μSv per scan and less than 1% of a single chest X-ray — is independently confirmed safe for the most radiation-sensitive population groups including pregnant women, children, the elderly, and persons with special medical needs. This safety confirmation directly addresses the primary public concern about body scanning technology and provides the regulatory compliance documentation required for deployment at public checkpoints where the complete population range of passengers must be screened.

Complete Threat Detection — Organic & Inorganic, Metallic & Non-Metallic
The single scan detects the complete range of concealed threat categories — organic threats including explosives, plastic explosives, narcotics, and drugs that are invisible to metal detectors, inorganic metallic weapons and objects detectable by conventional metal detection, non-metallic weapons and ceramics that bypass metal detectors, liquids and gels that conventional screening cannot identify, concealed currency, and contraband of all material compositions. This comprehensive single-scan threat coverage directly eliminates the multi-system screening requirement — one HM-2000 scan replaces the combination of metal detector, liquid scanner, and manual pat-down search previously required for equivalent threat coverage.

0.16mm Wire Resolution — Small Object Detection
The 0.16mm wire resolution confirms the ability to detect the smallest threat objects — thin wires, small detonators, miniature weapons, and any concealed item of minimal cross-section that would be missed at lower resolution levels. This fine resolution directly supports the detection of professionally constructed concealment items designed to minimize detectable cross-section.

Less Than 12 Seconds — High-Throughput Passenger Screening
The sub-12-second complete body scan provides the throughput rate required for the highest-volume passenger screening applications — airports, major ports, railway stations, and stadium events where thousands of passengers must be processed per hour. At 12 seconds per scan, the HM-2000 provides 300 passengers per hour per lane — matching or exceeding the throughput of conventional metal detector and manual search combinations while providing significantly more comprehensive threat detection.

Automatic Narcotics Detection Software — Operator Decision Support
The optional automatic narcotics detection software analyzes the body scan image for the characteristic signatures of concealed narcotics and drugs — alerting the operator to suspicious concealment patterns without requiring the operator to manually identify every drug carrier in the image stream. Automatic detection maintains consistent narcotics identification performance across all traffic volumes and operator fatigue levels.

Bulletproof Cabin Option — Operator Protection
The optional bulletproof cabin provides ballistic protection for the operator reviewing body scan images at high-security checkpoints where the threat environment includes the possibility of armed attack on security personnel during screening operations. Bulletproof cabin integration allows the HM-2000 to be deployed as a complete protected screening station at military, government, and critical infrastructure checkpoints.

Complete Identity & Security Integration — Passport, Fingerprint, Face Camera
The optional integration of passport reader, fingerprint scanner, and face camera with the body scan system provides simultaneous identity verification alongside threat detection — confirming that the person being scanned is the legitimate holder of the presented travel document and matching the facial image, fingerprint, and passport data in a single integrated checkpoint workflow. This combined identity and threat screening provides the most comprehensive passenger security verification available from a single checkpoint system.

Multi-Operator Function — Concurrent Review Capability
The multi-operator function allows multiple operators to simultaneously review body scan images from the HM-2000 — enabling specialist threat identification operators, supervisors, and border control officers to concurrently assess the same scan from different access points. Concurrent review directly reduces the time required for contested or ambiguous image assessment without delaying the primary screening throughput.

Mobile Vehicle Installation — Deployable Screening
The mobile vehicle installation capability extends the HM-2000 deployment to temporary and remote screening locations — vehicle-mounted operation provides complete body scanning capability at temporary event checkpoints, emergency security deployments, and any location where permanent installation infrastructure is not available. Mobile deployment maintains the same scanning performance as fixed installation.
