The Madoors USA Under Vehicle Surveillance System is an imaging system mounted on a roadway at facility access points that automatically scans and digitally captures clear images of vehicle undercarriages — detecting explosives, guns, bombs, attached packages, contraband, and all other foreign objects hidden beneath vehicles in real time. Deployed at law enforcement buildings, military installations, airports, port facilities, and any facility with demanding security requirements, the Madoors USA UVSS range covers six product types from advanced digital linear systems with color linear scan cameras, image zoom, and license plate recognition through to mobile surface-mounted, handheld, mirror, and speed bump configurations — all manufactured to ISO 9001 quality standards and a 2-year product guarantee.
The system integrates with boom barriers, tyre killers, bollards, spikes, and smart card and RFID-based access control systems — providing a complete premises security solution that combines undercarriage inspection with vehicle access management and physical hostile vehicle mitigation in a coordinated checkpoint infrastructure.
TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS
The Madoors USA UVSS uses cameras mounted in or on the roadway surface — positioned to capture a complete image of the vehicle undercarriage as the vehicle passes over the camera position at normal vehicle approach speed. The captured image is transmitted to the operator workstation for manual visual inspection by security personnel or automated analysis by the integrated software system — detecting foreign objects attached to the undercarriage against the baseline image of a clean vehicle underside.
Advanced digital linear systems use color linear scan cameras — building a high-resolution composite image of the complete undercarriage by scanning successive lines as the vehicle travels over the camera array. Color imaging provides improved discrimination between vehicle components and attached foreign objects compared to monochrome systems. Image zoom capability allows the operator to examine specific areas of the undercarriage image in detail — confirming the identity of suspicious objects. License plate recognition couples each undercarriage scan image with the vehicle plate number — enabling historical comparison of the vehicle's undercarriage against previous inspections at the same or networked checkpoints.
Budget video recording systems provide standard video recording of the undercarriage without the advanced imaging processing and recognition features of the digital linear systems — providing a cost-effective undercarriage inspection capability for lower-security or budget-constrained applications.
PRODUCT RANGE
1 — Under Vehicle Surveillance System (UVSS) — Fixed/Embedded
Permanently installed in-ground camera system at the access control checkpoint. Vehicle drives over the flush-mounted camera array at normal approach speed. Complete undercarriage image captured for operator review. Appropriate for permanent security checkpoints at military installations, government facilities, airports, and any fixed access control point where permanent installation is operationally justified.
2 — Automatic Comparative Under Vehicle Scanning System (UVSS)
Advanced UVSS with automatic comparative analysis — the system compares the current undercarriage scan against a stored baseline image of the vehicle from previous inspections, automatically identifying differences between the current and baseline images that indicate attached objects or modifications. Automatic comparison eliminates the operator error of manual image-to-image comparison, maintaining consistent detection performance across all operators and all traffic volumes. License plate recognition provides the vehicle identification required to retrieve the correct baseline image for each vehicle automatically.
3 — Mobile Surface Mounted Under Vehicle Inspection System (UVIS)
Surface-mounted portable system deployed on the road surface without excavation — providing undercarriage inspection capability at temporary checkpoints, event security positions, and any location where permanent embedded installation is not practical. Rapid deployment and recovery allows the system to be repositioned between locations in response to changing security requirements.
4 — Handheld Mobile Under Vehicle Inspection Camera System
Portable handheld camera system for manual inspection of individual vehicle undercarriages — the inspector carries the camera on an extendable handle and passes it under the vehicle manually, with the image transmitted to a handheld or wrist-mounted display for real-time inspection. Handheld inspection provides detailed coverage of specific areas of interest identified by the UVSS or by visual observation, and provides undercarriage inspection capability at any location without any installed infrastructure.
5 — Under Vehicle Inspection Mirror
Manual inspection mirror on an extendable handle providing a direct visual inspection of vehicle undercarriages — the traditional, non-electronic undercarriage inspection tool used as a primary inspection method at lower-security checkpoints and as a supplementary tool for detailed examination at higher-security positions. No power supply, electronics, or installation required — the mirror provides immediate inspection capability with zero infrastructure requirement.
6 — Speed Bump Under Vehicle Surveillance System
Integrated speed bump and UVSS combining the vehicle speed control function of a road speed bump with an integrated undercarriage camera system — vehicles slow to pass the speed bump and the camera captures the undercarriage image at the reduced speed. The combined function provides both speed control and undercarriage inspection at the same road position without requiring separate installations for each function.
KEY FEATURES
Real-Time Foreign Object Detection — Explosives, Arms & Contraband
The primary mission of the Madoors USA UVSS is real-time detection of any foreign body hidden under the vehicle underside — explosives including IEDs and car bombs, firearms and weapons, contraband packages, and any other attached object that represents a security threat or prohibited item. Real-time detection provides the operator with immediate information for access control decisions — vehicles with suspicious undercarriage images are directed to secondary inspection before entry to the protected facility is granted.
Color Linear Scan Camera — High-Resolution Complete Undercarriage Image
The color linear scan camera builds a complete, detailed composite image of the full vehicle undercarriage — from front bumper to rear bumper, side to side — by scanning successive lines as the vehicle travels over the camera array. The complete composite image allows the operator to examine the entire undercarriage in a single image rather than comparing individual camera views, directly improving the detection probability for objects that might fall between the fields of view of multi-camera systems.
Image Zoom — Detailed Examination of Suspicious Areas
Image zoom capability allows the operator or automated analysis system to magnify specific areas of the undercarriage image that appear suspicious — confirming the presence and identity of attached objects that are not clearly visible at the full-image viewing scale. Zoom capability is the critical analysis tool for resolving ambiguous image areas that would otherwise require vehicle secondary inspection for clarification.
License Plate Recognition — Historical Comparison
Integrated license plate recognition couples each undercarriage scan with the vehicle registration number — enabling the system to compare the current scan against previous scans of the same vehicle at the same or networked checkpoint. This historical comparison identifies modifications to the vehicle undercarriage — newly attached objects, removed components, or structural changes — that indicate potential threat activity even when the individual scan image appears normal in isolation.
Complete Security Integration — Barriers, Bollards & Access Control
The UVSS integrates with boom barriers, tyre killers, bollards, spikes, and smart card and RFID access control systems — providing a complete vehicle checkpoint security solution where the undercarriage inspection result directly governs the access management response. Vehicles with clean undercarriage inspections are cleared for barrier opening. Vehicles with suspicious images are held at the closed barrier for secondary inspection. This direct integration between inspection result and access management eliminates the operator action gap between detection and response.
ISO 9001 Certified — 2-Year Guarantee
ISO 9001 manufacturing quality and qualification certification confirm that every Madoors USA UVSS system is manufactured and supported to independently verified quality standards. The 2-year product guarantee covers all components and provides the procurement assurance required for government, military, and institutional security checkpoint procurement specifications.
Six Product Types — Complete Application Coverage
The six-product range covers the complete spectrum of undercarriage inspection applications — from permanent embedded digital systems for the highest-security fixed checkpoints through mobile surface-mounted systems for temporary deployment, handheld cameras for individual vehicle detail inspection, and traditional inspection mirrors for basic checkpoint applications. This complete range allows the appropriate inspection technology to be specified for each checkpoint security level and budget without requiring compromise between the available product and the actual requirement.
