The Madoors USA PRB-800 Series Manual Portable Wedge Barricade Barrier is a foldable, wheeled, M50 crash-test certified portable road barricade system that one person can rapidly deploy and recover without electrical power — transportable in the luggage compartment of military and security vehicles, combinable in any number of units up to 6 meters in single combined length, and designed so that on vehicle impact the barrier rotates on its pivot point, drawing a circle on the ground while the nailed ends engage and wrap under the attacking vehicle — lifting it from below and physically stopping it from entering the protected zone. As a result of a 7,500 kg vehicle at 80 km/h striking the barrier, the vehicle cannot penetrate the safe zone. All systems carry a 2-year product guarantee and 10-year spare parts guarantee.
TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS
The Madoors USA PRB-800 Manual Portable Wedge Barricade Barrier carries M50 crash test certification — confirming independent physical test performance against a 7,500 kg vehicle traveling at 80 km/h, the M50 American standard impact rating. On impact, the vehicle is physically stopped and cannot enter the protected zone beyond the barrier position — the barrier mechanism engages the underside of the attacking vehicle, wrapping around it from below and lifting it to arrest forward motion.
The barrier operates on a unique impact physics principle — when a vehicle strikes the deployed barrier, the barrier rotates by drawing a circle on the pivot contact point with the ground, and the nailed ends at the extremities engage the underside of the vehicle. The rotation and nailed end engagement wrap the barrier structure under the vehicle and lift it — using the attacking vehicle's own kinetic energy to amplify the stopping force and physically arrest vehicle movement. This active mechanical engagement of the vehicle underside is the engineering basis for the M50 certified stopping performance in a portable, manually deployable barrier format.
The barrier is foldable for compact storage and transport — collapsing to a size that fits in the luggage compartment of standard military and security vehicles. Wheels and omni-directional movement capability — the barrier can slide forward, backward, left, and right through drunken castor-type wheel mechanisms — allow a single person to maneuver and position the barrier rapidly across any ground surface. Units can be added together in any quantity to achieve any required barrier line width — with single-piece use up to 6 meters confirmed as straightforward for one operator.
Available in any specified color for high-visibility safety markings, military camouflage, institutional color coding, or environmental blending. 2-year product guarantee and 10-year spare parts guarantee cover all mechanical and structural components.
KEY FEATURES
M50 Certified — 7,500 kg at 80 km/h
The PRB-800 carries M50 crash test certification confirming that a 7,500 kg vehicle at 80 km/h is stopped and cannot enter the protected zone — the highest available American vehicle security barrier impact rating, satisfying government, military, and institutional procurement specifications for certified hostile vehicle mitigation in a portable barrier format.
Unique Vehicle Underside Engagement — Rotation & Lift Mechanism
The PRB-800's unique impact response mechanism — rotation on the pivot contact point with the ground, drawing a circle, with nailed ends engaging and wrapping under the vehicle to lift it — is a fundamentally different stopping principle from conventional rigid barrier systems. Rather than presenting a fixed rigid surface that the vehicle impacts, the PRB-800 uses the vehicle's own forward kinetic energy to drive the rotation and underside engagement, amplifying the stopping force applied to the vehicle's undercarriage and physically lifting the vehicle to arrest its motion. This active mechanical engagement principle achieves M50 certified stopping performance in a portable format that would not be achievable through passive mass resistance alone.
Single-Person Deployment — No Electricity Required
One person can deploy, position, and recover the PRB-800 quickly without any electrical power, mechanical assistance equipment, or specialist tools. The wheeled omni-directional movement, foldable compact storage, and lightweight manual handling design allow a single security or military operator to establish M50 certified vehicle access control from any vehicle in the convoy or security detail within minutes of arrival at the deployment position.
Car Trunk Transport — Military & Security Vehicle Ready
The foldable PRB-800 fits in the luggage compartment of standard military and security vehicles — enabling M50 certified portable barrier capability to be transported as standard equipment in any security vehicle without requiring dedicated barrier transport vehicles, trailers, or specialized logistics. Car trunk portability makes the PRB-800 available at any location the security vehicle can reach.
Omni-Directional Wheels — Forward, Backward, Left & Right Movement
The drunken castor-type wheel mechanisms allow the barrier to be moved in any direction — forward, backward, left, and right — across the deployment surface without requiring the barrier to be lifted, turned, or repositioned by disassembly. This omni-directional mobility allows a single operator to maneuver the barrier precisely into the deployment position and to reposition it quickly in response to changing vehicle approach directions or security zone geometry.
Modular Addition — Any Width, Up to 6 Meters Single Piece
Individual PRB-800 units can be added together in any quantity to close any required road width — with confirmed single-piece use up to 6 meters. This modular width scalability allows the barrier line to be precisely matched to the specific road or access point width at each deployment location using the minimum number of barrier units required — reducing the transport load and deployment time for wider access points while maintaining M50 certified protection across the full combined width.
Net Closing Capability — No Gap Exploitation
Additional apparatus can be purchased to provide net closing of any specified transition width — ensuring that no gap exists between the barrier ends and the road edge, adjacent walls, or other infrastructure that an unauthorized vehicle could exploit to bypass the barrier at its extremities. Net closing eliminates the bypass vulnerability that affects open-ended portable barriers deployed across roads with available bypass space at the sides.
2-Year Guarantee — 10-Year Spare Parts
The 2-year product guarantee and 10-year spare parts guarantee provide long-term operational assurance for a deployed barrier asset — confirming product quality through the initial service period and guaranteeing the availability of all replacement components for the full 10-year period. The 10-year parts guarantee is particularly important for military and security force equipment that may be deployed in remote locations where access to alternative spare parts sources is limited.
Custom Color Options
Any specified color can be applied — high-visibility yellow or orange for traffic management and law enforcement applications, military camouflage patterns for forward military position deployment, institutional colors for police and government applications, and any other specified color for client-specific identification requirements.
R&D Department — Custom Models Available
The Madoors USA R&D department supports requests for custom PRB-800 type models and special product specifications beyond the standard range — providing the engineering development capability required for specialized military, government, and security procurement requirements that the standard PRB-800 range does not fully address.
DEPLOYMENT SEQUENCE
Vehicle Transport
PRB-800 barrier units are transported in the luggage compartment of military or security vehicles to the deployment location — no dedicated barrier transport is required.
Unloading & Unfolding
Barrier units are unloaded from the vehicle and unfolded from the compact transport configuration to the deployed operational configuration by a single operator without tools.
Omni-Directional Positioning
The unfolded barrier unit is wheeled into the deployment position using the omni-directional wheel movement — positioned perpendicular to the vehicle approach direction at the access control point. A single operator maneuvers the barrier into exact position across the road width.
Additional Unit Connection (Wide Openings)
For road widths requiring more than one unit, additional PRB-800 units are unfolded and connected to the first unit — extending the combined barrier line across the full road width. Net closing apparatus is deployed at the barrier ends to eliminate any bypass gap between the barrier and the road edge.
M50 Certified Barrier Operational
The deployed PRB-800 provides immediate M50 certified vehicle access control. No commissioning, electrical connection, or civil works are required. The barrier is immediately operational.
Recovery & Redeployment
When deployment is complete, barrier units are folded back to compact configuration, wheeled to the vehicle, loaded into the luggage compartment, and transported to the next deployment location. Full recovery takes the same time as initial deployment.
DEPLOYMENT SCENARIOS & USE CASES
Madoors USA PRB-800 Manual Portable Wedge Barricade Barriers are specified for any temporary, emergency, or off-grid vehicle access control point requiring M50 certified hostile vehicle mitigation in a portable one-person deployable format.
