The Madoors USA Ballistic Armoured Container Hospital, Infirmary, and Sickroom is a fully prefabricated, modular, portable armoured building system engineered to deliver BR7-rated ballistic protection in a rapidly deployable, self-supporting medical facility — requiring no foundations, no floor slabs, and no on-site construction. Manufactured 100% in the factory as a complete turn-key package including the building structure, all internal and external finishes, ballistic bulletproof solar control glazed windows, sliding doors, pre-installed plumbing, electrical system, and lighting, the Madoors USA armoured medical container arrives on site ready to use — providing an immediately operational, fully insulated, climate-controlled, ballistically protected medical environment for military field hospitals, forward operating base infirmaries, disaster relief medical facilities, and any security-critical medical installation requiring rapid deployment and certified ballistic protection.
The modular system scales from simple single-unit site cabins through to large multi-module volumetric medical buildings, with internal partition walls and doors also fully insulated and ballistically protected. Slim profile windows and sliding doors use special ballistic bulletproof glazed solar control glass that maintains interior comfort levels while providing maximum security, transparency, and natural light penetration. The galvanized steel frame insulated floor structure makes every unit fully self-supporting on any flat ground surface without foundation or slab preparation.
TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS
Madoors USA Ballistic Armoured Container Hospital and Infirmary buildings are manufactured to BR7 ballistic protection as standard — the highest level of ballistic glass and wall protection in the EN 1063 and EN 1522 rating scales, covering protection against high-powered rifle rounds including 7.62mm × 51 NATO ball and equivalent threats. Many additional anti-ballistic protection options and specialist ballistic requirements can be accommodated during the design phase, allowing the ballistic specification to be precisely matched to the threat profile of the deployment environment.
The building envelope — walls, floor, and ceiling — is constructed from specially designed multi-layer assemblies based on a robust hot-dip galvanized steel frame, providing a structurally self-supporting building body with optimum thermal insulation values and a controlled internal environment. Internal partition walls and internal doors are also fully insulated, maintaining thermal and acoustic separation between clinical spaces within the building. The floor structure is steel-framed and fully insulated, eliminating the need for any concrete foundation or floor slab at the installation site.
Slim profile windows and sliding doors are glazed with special ballistic bulletproof solar control glass — providing BR7-equivalent ballistic protection at all glazed openings while maintaining natural daylight penetration and solar heat gain control for interior comfort in hot and cold climate deployment environments.
Every unit is supplied as a complete factory-finished package including the building structure, all internal and external finishes, door and window units, pre-installed plumbing, electrical system, and lighting — arriving on site as a ready-to-use facility requiring only services connection for immediate operational deployment.
KEY FEATURES
BR7 Ballistic Protection — Standard
All Madoors USA armoured container hospital and infirmary buildings are manufactured to BR7 ballistic protection as standard, providing the highest level of ballistic resistance available in the modular building system range. BR7 protection covers the building walls, ceiling, floor, and glazed openings — ensuring that medical personnel and patients inside the facility are protected against all standard military rifle threats without any unprotected aperture in the building envelope.
100% Factory Prefabricated — Ready to Use on Arrival
Every armoured medical building unit is 100% prefabricated in the factory, with all structural, ballistic, insulation, electrical, plumbing, and finish components installed and tested before dispatch. The building arrives on site in a ready-to-use condition — requiring only placement on a flat ground surface and connection to available site services — with no on-site construction, fitting, or finishing work required. This factory-complete approach eliminates the on-site construction timeline that would otherwise delay medical facility availability at forward deployment locations.
No Foundations Required — Self-Supporting Steel Frame
The galvanized steel frame insulated floor structure makes every unit completely self-supporting on any reasonably flat ground surface without requiring concrete foundations, floor slabs, or ground anchoring. This foundation-free installation capability enables rapid deployment at any location accessible by vehicle transport — including temporary military positions, disaster-affected areas, and remote sites where ground preparation and concrete work would be impractical or time-prohibitive.
Ballistic Bulletproof Solar Control Glazing
Slim profile windows and sliding doors are glazed with special ballistic bulletproof solar control glass — providing BR7-equivalent protection at all glazed openings while maintaining transparency, natural light penetration, and solar heat gain control. The solar control characteristic of the glazing prevents excessive interior heating from direct sunlight in hot climate deployments, maintaining patient and personnel comfort without compromising ballistic protection performance at the windows.
Complete Turn-Key Package — Building, Finishes, Plumbing & Electrical
Every Madoors USA armoured medical building is supplied as a complete turn-key package covering the building structure, all internal and external finishes, door and window units with ballistic glazing, pre-installed plumbing, electrical system, and lighting. This complete package eliminates the coordination of multiple trades and suppliers required for conventional building construction — delivering a single-contract, single-delivery medical facility solution that is fully operational on arrival.
Modular Scalable System — Site Cabin to Large Medical Facility
The modular building system scales from simple single-unit infirmary cabins through to large multi-module volumetric medical facilities, allowing the building footprint and room count to be matched precisely to the specific medical capacity requirements of each deployment — from a single sickroom at a forward security post through to a multi-ward field hospital at a major operational base.
Rapid Deployment — Cost Effective Transport & Storage
The armoured modular building system is designed for rapid deployment — cost-effective to transport by road, rail, or sea freight, and storable in standard container stacking configurations when not deployed. Rapid deployment capability directly reduces the time between the identification of a medical facility requirement and the availability of a protected, operational medical environment at the deployment location.
Fully Insulated Envelope — Optimum Climate Control
The complete building envelope — walls, floor, ceiling, internal partitions, and internal doors — is fully insulated to optimum thermal values, providing a controlled internal environment that maintains comfortable and clinically appropriate temperatures in both hot and cold climate deployment conditions. Full envelope insulation eliminates the thermal bridging and cold spots that compromise patient comfort and clinical environment standards in conventional modular buildings with partial insulation.
Galvanized Steel Frame — Long-Term Durability
The robust hot-dip galvanized steel structural frame provides long-term structural integrity and corrosion resistance in the exposed outdoor deployment conditions of military field operations, disaster relief sites, and temporary medical facility installations — maintaining building structural performance and ballistic protection capability across the operational service life of the unit without frame degradation from corrosion.
Multiple Anti-Ballistic Options — Project-Specific Customization
In addition to the standard BR7 ballistic protection, many additional anti-ballistic protection options and specialist ballistic requirements can be specified and incorporated during the design phase — including higher protection level specifications, blast resistance integration, specific threat-level certification, and custom structural reinforcement for the highest-threat deployment environments.
Ideal for Multiple Medical & Security Applications
The Madoors USA armoured building system is specifically identified as ideal for security posts, military use, temporary accommodation, disaster relief housing, site buildings, and school or hospital buildings where security is an issue — covering the complete range of rapidly deployable, ballistically protected building applications encountered across military, emergency response, and security infrastructure deployment programs.
ASSEMBLY & DEPLOYMENT SEQUENCE
Site Assessment & Module Configuration
Required medical facility layout — number of wards, consultation rooms, sickrooms, sanitary facilities, and support spaces — is confirmed. Module count and arrangement are designed to provide the required floor area and room configuration. Ballistic protection specification is confirmed against the threat profile of the deployment location. Services connection arrangements — electrical supply, water supply, and drainage — are confirmed.
Factory Manufacture & Quality Inspection
Building modules are manufactured 100% in the factory to the confirmed specification. All structural, ballistic, insulation, glazing, plumbing, electrical, and finish components are installed and inspected at the factory before dispatch. ISO 9001 quality management procedures are applied throughout manufacture and inspection.
Transport to Deployment Site
Completed building modules are transported to the deployment site by road, rail, or sea freight. Standard container handling equipment — forklifts and cranes — is used for all loading and unloading operations.
Ground Preparation & Module Placement
The deployment site ground surface is assessed for flatness and load-bearing capacity. Any minor leveling required to achieve a sufficiently flat surface for self-supporting module placement is completed. Modules are placed on the prepared ground surface using crane or forklift equipment and positioned in the confirmed layout arrangement.
Inter-Module Connection & Sealing
Where multiple modules are combined to form a larger medical facility, inter-module structural connections, corridor connections, and weather sealing between modules are completed. Internal partition alignment between modules is verified.
Services Connection
Electrical supply is connected to the pre-installed building electrical system. Water supply and drainage connections are made to the pre-installed plumbing system. HVAC systems are connected to the available power supply and commissioned.
Commissioning & Medical Fitout
All building systems — electrical, lighting, plumbing, HVAC, and access control — are commissioned and verified. Medical equipment, furniture, and supplies are installed within the pre-finished interior spaces. The facility is verified as operationally ready for medical use.
