TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS
The Madoors USA EML-4043 Anti-Ram Crash Rated Fence is certified to the following internationally recognized hostile vehicle mitigation standards. ASTM F2656-07 M50 P1 — vehicle impact at 50 mph with penetration rating P1. ASTM F2656-07 M40 P2 — vehicle impact at 40 mph with penetration rating P2. ASTM F2656-07 M30 P1 — vehicle impact at 30 mph with penetration rating P1. K12, PAS68, and IWA ratings are also held, covering the full range of international anti-ram barrier certification systems recognized by government, defense, and critical infrastructure procurement authorities worldwide.
Each crash test certificate clearly indicates the impact conditions — vehicle size, velocity, and angle of approach — and the penetration rate applicable to the specific rating, providing clients and their security consultants with complete, independently verified documentation of the barrier system's protective performance.
The MDRS-50 Series 4-cable fence barrier system can be integrated seamlessly into all standard fencing types, allowing the anti-ram barrier to be incorporated into an existing or new perimeter fence line without requiring a separate, visually distinct barrier structure. This integration capability maintains a consistent, aesthetically coherent perimeter appearance while delivering certified crash-rated vehicle stopping performance across the full fence line.
Foundation depths are broader in range and shallower than conventional anti-ram perimeter systems, reducing civil groundworks requirements, minimizing disruption to buried services, and enabling installation within tighter construction windows at operational facilities where extended site disruption is not acceptable. All projects are subject to engineering study by Madoors USA's specialized team prior to installation.
KEY FEATURES
ASTM M50 P1, M40 P2 & M30 P1 Certified Performance
The MDRS-50 Series holds independently certified crash test ratings to ASTM F2656-07 at M50 P1, M40 P2, and M30 P1 — covering vehicle impact velocities of 50 mph, 40 mph, and 30 mph with verified penetration performance at each rating level. These certifications provide clients with independently documented proof of anti-ram performance that satisfies government, defense, and critical infrastructure security procurement requirements worldwide.
K12, PAS68 & IWA Certified
In addition to ASTM ratings, the EML-4043 Series holds K12, PAS68, and IWA certifications — covering the full spectrum of internationally recognized hostile vehicle mitigation rating systems used by procurement authorities across North America, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia-Pacific. Multi-standard certification eliminates the need for clients to source separate products to satisfy different national or institutional certification requirements.
4-Cable Anti-Ram Fence Barrier System
The MDRS-50 Series anti-ram barrier utilizes a 4-cable fence barrier configuration that absorbs and distributes vehicle impact energy across the cable system and post network, stopping the attacking vehicle and preventing penetration beyond the certified penetration distance. The cable system allows the barrier to deflect under impact load and return energy progressively, reducing the peak force transmitted to the foundation structure and enabling the shallower foundation design that is a defining feature of the MDRS-50 Series.
Seamless Integration with All Fencing Types
The 4-cable barrier system integrates directly into all standard fencing types — welded mesh, chain link, palisade, anti-climb wire, and decorative fencing — allowing the anti-ram barrier to be incorporated into new perimeter fence designs or retro-fitted into existing fence lines without requiring a separate, visually distinct crash barrier structure alongside the fence.
Aesthetically Attractive Appearance
Unlike conventional anti-ram barriers — which are typically visually heavy, institutional, and incompatible with the aesthetic requirements of corporate, civic, or heritage environments — the MDRS-50 Series 4-cable fence barrier system presents an aesthetically attractive perimeter that satisfies the visual design requirements of corporate campuses, government buildings, cultural institutions, and high-end commercial facilities alongside its certified crash protection performance.
Shallower Foundation Depths — Reduced Civil Works
The MDRS-50 Series is engineered for a broader range of foundation depths, including shallower installations than conventional anti-ram perimeter systems, directly reducing excavation volume, concrete usage, construction time, and civil works cost. Shallower foundations also minimize interference with buried services and reduce the risk of encountering unexpected subsurface conditions that delay conventional deep-foundation anti-ram barrier installations.
Straightforward Installation & Lower Cost
The MDRS-50 Series was developed specifically to address the prohibitive cost, complicated installation methods, and lengthy construction windows of legacy anti-ram perimeter barrier systems. The result is a crash-rated fence barrier that delivers certified M50-level vehicle stopping performance through a more straightforward installation process, with affordable yet high-quality and high-resistance materials, at a lower total installed cost than comparable conventional systems.
Rapid Replacement After Impact
In the event of a vehicle impact, damaged barrier components can be rapidly replaced, restoring the perimeter to full certified crash-rated operational status without requiring complete system removal and reinstallation. This rapid replacement capability significantly reduces the downtime of the crash-rated perimeter following an impact event — a critical operational requirement for continuously protected high-security facilities.
Solar LED Integration
Solar LED lighting is available as an integrated feature of the barrier system, providing perimeter illumination at the fence line without requiring mains electrical cable runs along the barrier — reducing installation cost and enabling deployment at remote perimeter locations where grid power connection is impractical or cost-prohibitive.
360-Degree Perimeter Protection
The MDRS-50 Series provides optimal 360-degree perimeter protection of secure buildings, personnel, and assets — covering the full perimeter envelope of the protected site, including straight runs, corners, curved sections, and gate approach zones, with consistent certified crash-rated performance at every point in the fence line.
Certified Technology with Full Documentation
Every Madoors USA anti-ram crash rated fence installation is supported by authentic crash test certificates clearly documenting the impact conditions, vehicle specification, velocity, approach angle, and penetration distance for each applicable rating. This documentation package is provided to clients for inclusion in security compliance files, insurance records, and government audit submissions.
ASSEMBLY & INSTALLATION SEQUENCE
Site Survey & Engineering Study
The full perimeter line is surveyed by Madoors USA's specialized engineering team. Ground conditions, buried service locations, site access constraints, and foundation depth options are assessed. The specific ASTM, K12, PAS68, or IWA rating requirements for the project are confirmed, and the appropriate MDRS-50 Series configuration is selected and engineered for the site conditions.
Foundation Design & Excavation
Foundation positions are marked at the specified post spacing along the perimeter line. Foundation excavation is completed to the project-specific depth — shallower than conventional anti-ram systems where ground conditions allow. Reinforced concrete foundations are cast with post anchor positions set to the installation engineering drawings.
Post Installation
Anti-ram barrier posts are installed into the cast foundations and torqued to the specified anchor settings. Post alignment and spacing are verified across the full installation run including corners and gate approach sections.
Cable System Installation & Tensioning
The 4-cable barrier system is run between posts across the full perimeter line. Cable terminations are fitted at end posts and corner posts. Cable tension is set to the specified installation parameters across all cable runs, ensuring consistent anti-ram energy absorption performance across the complete barrier system.
Fencing Integration
The specified fencing type — welded mesh, chain link, palisade, anti-climb wire, or other — is installed in conjunction with the cable barrier system, integrating the anti-ram barrier and fence panel into a single coordinated perimeter structure.
Solar LED Fitting (Where Specified)
Solar LED units are fitted to the barrier posts at the specified positions along the perimeter. Solar panel orientation is set for maximum daily charging exposure. LED operation and solar charging function are tested and verified.
Final Inspection & Certification Documentation Handover
The completed installation is inspected across all post foundations, cable tensions, fence panel connections, and solar LED fittings. Crash test certification documentation — ASTM, K12, PAS68, and IWA certificates as applicable — is compiled into the project handover package alongside installation records and maintenance schedule documentation.
